Today in class we went over the topic Strategic Marketing. The class
went over the 5 P's, Product, Price, Promotion, Placement, and Position. Depending
on the type of product ads are shown outdoors, websites, and on television. The
competition of the different name brands is crucial in advertising. Once a company
is on top they stay that way for a while. We talked about the steps of making a
creative advertisement. Looking at the competitions ads, writing down five characteristics,
creating a spectrum of characteristics, and watching the ad are the four steps
to making a first-class ad. At the end of class, we grouped up to talk about
different advertising techniques. In my group, we had Crest toothpaste; we
discussed how the best way to target our buyers would be to have a television commercial.
Our pick up line four our crest complete multi step would be, “ one step,
passes the test”.
